Surgical Tech Program

Current Sky Lakes Employees can apply for the Surgical Technologist Scholarship Program.

Certified Surgical Technicians (CSTs) work in surgical environments as a member of a team that provides surgical solutions to medical issues. CSTs fill a key role on the team by providing expertise in managing surgical instrumentation and protecting the sterile environment. A CST’s knowledge of the procedure assists with providing efficient and safe care for the surgical patient.

CSTs have pride in their profession and understand that their role adds to the successful outcomes of a surgical patient. Individuals that start in a CST role occasional decide to advance their careers into careers as an RN, PA, NP, and even MD. Whether you’re looking for a starting point for your career in health care or an extensive career as a CST this is a wonderful place to start.
